Assumption hospital was founded in 1968 by Rev. Fr. George Kizakkachalil, the Parish Priest of Sulthan Bathery, and in 1976, the hospital was handed over to the Sacred Heart congregation. It operated in a small building with one doctor, 4 nurses, and 20 beds. And today, the multi-speciality hospital has 12 doctors, 100 staff members, and 100 beds. Catering to the healthcare needs of the poor, unable to get modern healthcare facilities due to high expenses, they aim to impart the compassionate love of Jesus to the suffering and aged people. The hospital is trying to ensure that everyone, mainly the destitute, gets positive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare. And to deliver the best quality of healthcare services to the public at an inexpensive cost. By supporting and promoting the ethical values of human life and dignity in the healthcare, education, and research field, Assumption continues the healing mission of Jesus Christ.
