Jubilee Mission Hospital on December 17, 1951, a modest dispensary was established in Thrissur as part of the therapeutic mission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur, which made practical and remarkable contributions in the healthcare field. The dispensary has since evolved into Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute. It is a 1450-bed multi-specialty hospital with medical education facilities such as a Medical College, a College of Nursing, a School of Nursing, and a variety of allied health science courses. The hospital was expanded to permit super specialised treatment, as well as medical education and research, in order to make contemporary medical facilities more affordable to the general public. The hospital provides free treatment to all orphanages and old age homes in Thrissur and tries to make quality healthcare available, inexpensive, and accessible to everybody. In August 2017, Jubilee Mission Hospital received NABH entry-level accreditation.
