St Joseph's Mission Hospital began its operations in a small building on June 03, 1971. Dr. C J. Varghese was the first doctor of the institution, and the director was Fr. Joseph Kachiramattam. And under the leadership of Jacob Nedumpalli, a registered charitable trust of Mananthavady Dioceses, which is at the forefront of providing better medical services, undertook the hospital in 1973.
