The Bishop Alappat Mission hospital was established on May 1, 1970, the diamond jubilee day of the late Bishop Dr. George Alappat, Bishop of the Diocese of Thrissur. The 100-bed multi-specialty hospital is committed to assisting the poor and bringing holistic treatment to humanity. Its mission is to promote and develop community health and medical services. The School of Nursing was incepted in response to the need for professional nurses to provide excellent patient care in 1979.
